Detailed Scuba Dive Trip Itinerary

You’re on “island time,”! Why not kick back and surrender to the seductive rhythms of our Caribbean trips? Savor this comfortable, relaxing way to dive Cozumel.

Welcome aboard, friends, for your morning Caribbean two-tank trip! We’ll make two drift dives today.

Your safety remains our number one priority at Dive Paradise. So we emphasize conservative dive profiles. The deeper dive is first; the shallower, second. We usually limit depth on the first dive to 90 feet, and to 30 to 60 feet on the second. To stay on the safe side, we provide a generous surface interval between the two dives.

At Dive Paradise, we entrust guests to the care of our certified, in-water Divemasters. Their goal is to guide you on safe, pleasurable dives along the reefs in the National Marine Park.

Pick-Up Information

The day starts at 8:30am, when boats make their first pick-up at the Dive Paradise location at Cozumel Hotel & Resort.

The boats head south, for pick-ups at the Dive Paradise location at Villablanca Beach, and other piers.

(Important: Confirm your pickup time and location in advance, to avoid confusion and disappointment at the dock.)

The last pick-up is 9:00am.

Additional Information

The boats again head south, toward the reefs, for your two dives.

When the second dive is a wrap, we head home. You’ll be back at your hotel between 1:00 and 2:00 pm.

Small groups

On Caribbean trips we provide one Divemaster for each eight divers. If a group exceeds eight, we split it in two and send an extra Divemaster. That way, we keep groups small underwater.

Roomy boats

Though not “express-boat fast,” our Caribbean vessels still move at a good clip.

Count on Dive Paradise for spacious boats, with lots of elbow room to spread out. We can easily accommodate 26 divers no problemo on many of our Caribbean boats. But we never board more than 16. Except for special requests for group charters, we guarantee a maximum of 16 divers.

So, you have more room, as you cruise leisurely to the reefs… Room to stretch and move around. To organize gear. To chat, and mingle, and make new friends. Caribbean boats feature broad dive platforms and wide ladders, for easy entries and exits.

Looking for protection from nature’s elements (sun, rain, and splashes)?

Caribbean boats are covered. On some boats the roof doubles as a sun deck. So feel free to lounge up top and work on your tan.
There is a restroom(!) on many of – not all — the big boats. (If this feature is important, please confirm with the concierge.)

How do you select dive sites?

It’s “divers’ choice” — Divemasters present options and look for a friendly consensus. When necessary, the crew may select the dive sites, in consideration of safety factors such as strong currents or weather.

Boat Notes

• We serve complimentary snacks and purified water.
• Please bring your own refillable water bottle!
• DAN oxygen and first aid kits on every vessel.
