Scuba Diving in Cozumel with Dive Paradise

3-Tank Cock-A-Doodle Dive

Up with the sunrise for a trifecta of spectacular drift dives

Cozumel Scuba Diving Tour Description (Early AM)

World-class dives on legendary coral reefs and walls in Cozumel

The Cock-A-Doodle trip is a Cozumel trifecta of three world-class drift dives on three spectacular reefs.

You’ll have a unique opportunity to experience something special…. a daily phenomenon of nature that few divers get to witness first hand. To dive on a breathtaking reef at sunrise, where you’ll have a front row seat for the “changing of the guard.”

For the first dive, it’s a mad go-go-go scene on the coral reef, 60 feet down… Shift change on top of a crazy rush hour. It’s the bedlam and chaos of a traffic jam that’s barreling straight toward gridlock.

The night crew is retiring. The day shift is reporting for duty, and the reef switches into sunny mode. The morning crew rolls out of bed hungry to satisfy their animal instincts — it’s the daily frenzy of feed, fight or … mate.

There’s a blur of motion everywhere you look. A dizzying kaleidoscope of fish and sea life. A riot of color, wall-to-wall. The silent world of the reef is a deafening roar of visual cacophony. It’s full-tilt rush hour on the noisy urban street…

Back on the boat we realize that we’ve witnessed a phenomenon of nature – change of shift on the reef, from night to day. But our day is still young, and we eagerly anticipate our next two dives.
There’s never a crowd at Dive Paradise. We provide spacious boats, with lots of elbow room to spread out. And we entrust our guests to the care of certified, in-water divemasters — with one divemaster for each eight divers on Cock-A-Doodle Trips. That way, groups remain small underwater.

On the boat we serve complimentary purified water.

Early to bed, early to rise…. is a great head start on a three-tank dive.

The Cock-A-Doodle is a Dive Paradise exclusive, available nowhere else on Cozumel.

So relax, kick back, feel safe…. At Dive Paradise, service is always friendly, personal, attentive — and professional.

Cock-A-Doodle 3-Tank Dive

Detailed Scuba Dive Trip Description

It’s your vacation — with Dive Paradise you’re free to dive at your own pace.

The Cock-A-Doodle trip is a Cozumel trifecta — a hat trick — of three world-class drift dives on three spectacular reefs.

Yes, you’re obliged to roll out of bed early for this trip. But it’s worth sacrificing a few z-z-z-z’s. Because you know what they say about the early bird — he gets the worm to the reef ahead of the crowd.

With the Cock-A-Doodle, you’ll have a unique opportunity to experience something special…. a daily phenomenon of nature that few divers get to witness first hand. To dive on a breathtaking Cozumel reef at sunrise, where you’ll have a front row seat for the “changing of the guard.”

The Dive Paradise boat rocks gently on the calm seas, as you gaze east to drink in the glorious Cozumel sunrise. At the surface, all is quiet and serene as you prep your gear. Not another boat in sight.

But 60 feet below, it’s a mad go-go-go scene on the coral reef… Shift change on top of a crazy rush hour. It’s the bedlam and chaos of a traffic jam that’s barreling straight toward gridlock.

The night crew is retiring. The creatures of the dark are calling it quits. They return to their hidey holes, looking for a safe place to tuck in.

The day shift reports for duty, and the reef switches into sunny mode.

…Trumpetfish, leaning on their horns. Angry damselfish and sergeant majors — cursing, weaving, and cutting in and out of traffic. A five-foot nurse shark dawdling in the fast lane. Bottlenecks of yellowtails and silver grunts.

Tie-ups and tangles of neon wrasses. Cleaner fish hustling customers for a wash and wax at the detailing station. Stoplight parrotfish jockeying for position at the drive-up window, angling for a nip at the coral and a quick take-away. A gang of barracuda hanging out on the corner, on the down-low. A lone sea turtle, just passing through. And — oblivious to all the chaos and commotion — three giant lobsters feeling their way down the reef, probing with their antennas, like blind men tap-tap-tapping their way down the sidewalk with white canes.

Back on the boat we realize that we’ve witnessed a phenomenon of nature – change of shift on the reef, from night to day. But our day is still young, and we eagerly anticipate our next two dives.

At Dive Paradise, we provide spacious boats, with lots of elbow room to spread out, so there’s never a crowd. Our goal is to guide you on a safe, pleasurable dives. We entrust our guests to the care of certified, in-water divemasters — with one divemaster for each eight divers on Cock-A-Doodle trips. If a group exceeds eight, we split it in two and send an extra divemaster. That way, groups remain small underwater.

On the boat we serve complimentary purified water.
