EDP 2-Tank Computer Dive Trip
Cozumel Scuba Diving Tour Description
World-class drift dives on legendary coral reefs and walls in Cozumel
Looking for high-voltage SCUBA adventures? Looking to experience the challenge of Cozumel’s most exciting walls and reefs?
The Experienced Diver Program (EDP) is your ticket to a collection of bucket-list memories that you’ll share for decades.
EDP is designed for divers with high levels of skill and experience. Bring your computer — you’ll need it for these two-tank trips.
It’s the location of these remote reefs and walls – at the southern- and northernmost ends of the island — that makes these dives challenging.
These sites face the open sea. Unprotected, they take the brunt of the prevailing winds. So expect turbulent waters. Heavy swells. Unpredictable, fast-moving currents.
So…. are you ready to put Cozumel on your bucket list for your next SCUBA vacation? The Experienced Diver Program is your ticket to a bucketful of unforgettable memories – tales of underwater adventure that you’ll tell for decades to come.
Prerequisites
EDP Computer trips are reserved for experienced divers with a minimum of 50 logged dives.
Your safety remains our number one priority at Dive Paradise. Please note the following:
• We restrict these trips to previous EDP participants, or to divers who have demonstrated their proficiency on prior dives with Dive Paradise.
• A computer is a must. Either bring your own (BYO) or rent from Dive Paradise. Divemasters can show you how to use rentals. When you BYO, you must be proficient in its use.
• EDP divers must be skilled in managing air consumption, depth and buoyancy. You must be capable of diving in swift currents and other rigorous conditions.

Prone to seasickness? Consider taking a preventative medicine before boarding the boat. If you wait until you are already sick to take the medication, it will not work.

On the bottom, count on explosions of color and action everywhere you point your light. The creatures of the night shift are out in the open, roaming the reef. Cock-A-Doodle 3-Tank Dive Trip
Cozumel Scuba Diving Tour Description (Early AM)
World-class dives on legendary coral reefs and walls in Cozumel
The Cock-A-Doodle trip is a Cozumel trifecta of three world-class drift dives on three spectacular reefs.
You’ll have a unique opportunity to experience something special…. a daily phenomenon of nature that few divers get to witness first hand. To dive on a breathtaking reef at sunrise, where you’ll have a front row seat for the “changing of the guard.”
For the first dive, it’s a mad go-go-go scene on the coral reef, 60 feet down… Shift change on top of a crazy rush hour. It’s the bedlam and chaos of a traffic jam that’s barreling straight toward gridlock.
The night crew is retiring. The day shift is reporting for duty, and the reef switches into sunny mode. The morning crew rolls out of bed hungry to satisfy their animal instincts — it’s the daily frenzy of feed, fight or … mate.
There’s a blur of motion everywhere you look. A dizzying kaleidoscope of fish and sea life. A riot of color, wall-to-wall. The silent world of the reef is a deafening roar of visual cacophony. It’s full-tilt rush hour on the noisy urban street…
Back on the boat we realize that we’ve witnessed a phenomenon of nature – change of shift on the reef, from night to day. But our day is still young, and we eagerly anticipate our next two dives.
There’s never a crowd at Dive Paradise. We provide spacious boats, with lots of elbow room to spread out. And we entrust our guests to the care of certified, in-water divemasters — with one divemaster for each six divers. That way, groups remain small underwater.
On the boat we serve complimentary purified water.
Early to bed, early to rise…. is a great head start on a three-tank dive.
The Cock-A-Doodle is a Dive Paradise exclusive, available nowhere else on Cozumel.
So, relax, kick back, feel safe…. At Dive Paradise, service is always friendly, personal, attentive — and professional.

We put you in the care of one of our certified, in-water Divemaster guides. His primary duty is leading you and your group on safe, pleasurable dives.
On two-tank trips, the maximum depth is 60 to 90 feet on the first dive, and 30 to 60 feet on the second.
Posted prices do not include a 38 peso per day usage fee (about US$2). This is charged to anyone taking part in water activities inside the National Marine Park. This fee must be paid during reservations for all scheduled dive dates.
Before diving, complete the “Diver’s Information Sheet” (available in the sidebar of this page).
Children under ten are not allowed on dive trips.
The gunnels (sides) are low for easy giant stride entries.
All boats offer convenient dive platforms. Getting out of the water is as easy as getting in.
We conduct all dives in “divemaster-escorted groups.” As a result, we cannot use computers as a primary tool for planning maximum depth and bottom time. The divemaster can make exceptions, provided each diver has a computer and is skilled in its use. Please ask your divemaster for such exceptions when you board the boat.
Nitrox is available at an additional fee per tank. Proof of Nitrox training required.
All divers are advised to obtain DAN insurance. Dive Assure and PADI are also recognized. If you have questions about the chamber or insurance coverage, feel free to contact us.
