By completing a reservation, the customer is stating that he/she has read and agrees to Dive Paradise terms and conditions.

Be sure to read them in full to understand your reservation agreements re: Booking & Trip Instructions, Cancellation Policies, Insurance, and other essential points.

Diver Minimums

For fast boat and specialty dives, please check in with the main shop at least 24 hours before your scheduled dive to confirm if your trip has met the minimum number of divers to run. If we haven’t filled enough spots, you will have the following options:

1) Cover the cost of the vacant diver spots on the boat
2) Re-schedule your dive for next best available trip
3) Rain check for future diving with Dive Paradise
4) Refund for your trip

Group Bookings

Maximum Peace of Mind

If you have been out of the water for a while or for any reason feel jittery about your diving, we recommend arranging for your own personal Divemaster for your first day. This special guide service is available for 1 or 2 divers on the morning Caribbean 2-tank Trip or the Afternoon 1-tank Trip, in addition to applicable dive trip charges.

Re-compression Services

In the event of a diving emergency, Dive Paradise is affiliated with the Meditur Hyperbaric Chamber, a state-of-the-art re-compression chamber facility located on Cozumel Island. The chamber is connected with the hospital “Clinica San Miguel” on Calle 6 Norte (6th Street North) #135, between 5th Ave. and 10th Ave. Dr. Pascual Piccolo, the presiding hyperbaric physician and general practitioner, can be reached at (987) 872-3070.

All divers are advised to purchase Travel Insurance for their reservation. Meditur accepts DAN and DiveAssure for direct billing with no out-of-pocket expenses. (PADI insurance members pay out-of-pocket and submit for reimbursement.)

Rough Weather 

Rare, but if the seas appear rough in the morning, it is possible that the boats will not depart from the usual pickup docks.  In such cases, it is very important that you contact Dive Paradise as we may have to change the pickup point for your scheduled dive to Fonatur, near the Hotel Presidente. Call the shop at 872-1007 or stop by Dive Paradise in person as phones may be busy.  We are not responsible for and do not pay taxi fares to/from modified departure points.

Welcome Tanks

All Dive Paradise packages include a free “Bienvenidos” (welcome) tank for a buoyancy / equipment check shore dive upon arrival. We believe that it’s always a good idea to make a weight adjustment and orientation dive before jumping off the boat on a Cozumel drift dive. This offer must be used before your boat diving commences.
